Kalmak, Inc., a family operated business, was the first packaging manufacturing company on the West Coast. It was founded in 1976 by Dick Nelson to provide new and innovative die sets and tooling for the Multivac rollstock packaging machines. Dick treated each customer as his only customer, and was relentless in his pursuit of the optimum packaging solution.

During the early years of the company the entire Nelson family worked to fill the packaging industry's needs. Patti Erickson, Dick's daughter, continued her education and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has extensive experience in the packaging industry. Patti is now president of the company and continues with her father's mission of providing the highest value tooling and components on time, everytime.

Today, Kalmak remains a winning team with a long history of commitment to customer satisfaction and consistently delivers true value by fulfilling quality, cost and delivery requirements.
